A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is the laboratory report that tells you what is actually in a research peptide vial — and it is the single most important document to check before buying research peptides.
HPLC purity — high-performance liquid chromatography measures how much of the sample is the target peptide, shown as a percentage (e.g. 99.2%). Reputable research-grade material is typically 98%+. Mass spectrometry (identity) confirms the molecular weight matches the intended peptide, proving the vial contains what the label claims. Endotoxin and sterility results are relevant to many research applications. Batch / lot number ties the certificate to the exact production lot in your vial — a CoA that does not match your lot number tells you nothing about your material. Testing methods — HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity are the analytical checks that matter; a CoA that names its methods and matches your exact lot number is what makes the result meaningful.

Research peptides are supplied lyophilised (freeze-dried) because the dry powder is far more stable than peptide in solution. Correct storage protects the integrity of your research material.
Before reconstitution: follow the storage condition printed on that lot's Certificate of Analysis — for most lyophilised peptides that is -20°C, though some, GHK-Cu among them, are specified warmer. Keep them desiccated (away from moisture) and out of direct light; in this state they remain stable for extended periods. Avoid repeated temperature swings: let a vial reach room temperature before opening to stop condensation drawing moisture into the powder — which is why a desiccant and a sealed container matter. After reconstitution (for in-vitro work), peptide in solution is less stable and is typically kept refrigerated and used within a shorter window, with working dilutions prepared per the laboratory's own assay protocol.

BPC-157 and TB-500 are two of the most searched-for research peptides and are often mentioned together — but they are distinct compounds studied in different contexts. This is a factual, research-use comparison, not medical guidance.
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide (15 amino acids), molecular weight ~1419 g/mol, widely used in laboratory and in-vitro research. TB-500 is a synthetic fragment related to thymosin beta-4, with a different structure and molecular weight (~888 g/mol). In research terms the two are studied along different pathways and are not interchangeable; researchers select based on the specific model or assay.
Purity and verification matter more than the choice between them: for either compound, the meaningful question is whether the exact lot you receive carries a batch-specific CoA confirming HPLC purity and mass-spec identity.
