What BPC-157 is
BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide — a chain of 15 amino acids. Its sequence corresponds to a partial fragment of a protein identified in gastric juice, which is where the "BPC" (body protection compound) designation originates. In the research literature it is studied almost entirely in cell and animal models, frequently in the context of angiogenesis and tissue-repair pathways.
